                                       INDEPENDENCE DAY------2015
All souls want to soar high, be and remain free. Forever. But must we know that freedom is not free. There are checks, balances and steps on every level during all the modalities concerned.
Bloodbath always was and always will remain the required ingredient to face the perpetrarors of violence who always have attempted to keep people of different nationalities in chains.
But the true leaders know how to make the followers do the needful and unchain the holy motherland from the shackles of dependence.
Here in the sanctum sanctorum of DPS-JC we celebrate the Independence Day with ceaseless zeal and boundless enthusiasm year after year.
This year the celebrations saw our honourable Vice President Mr. Purushottam Dewangan as the Chief Guest and the respectable AVP Mr. Kamal Kishore Dewangan as the Guest of Honour who by their mere presence enthused one and all. In his speech after the National Flag hoisting and the colourful March Past by all the 4 Houses, on the occasion, Honourable VP sir threw light on the contribution of scores of freedom fighters who laid their lives for the freedom of our motherland.
Respectable Headmistress Ms. Mitu Dey highlighted the momentous occassion by quoting the words of the first PM J.L. Nehru to mark the beginning of an all new dawn in the lives all Indians way back in 1947.
Two speeches in Hindi and English were delivered by the School Captain, Deepak Sahu and Vanshika Agrawal of Std.6 respectively which included plain-speak and rhetoric both. There was a well - choreographed dance and a group patriotic song, nicely and very smoothly delivered by the students trained by the Dance and Music Teachers.
“Bachhon ki Kachhari”, a Hindi Skit was presented by the students under the apt direction of Mr. P. Dixit.
Entire presentation was anchored by Avni Sadhwani & Abhishek Thomas under the tutelage of the CCA Chief Coordinator Mr. Pradip K. Banerjee who concluded the Democratic Deliberation by raising the Vote of Thanks in his inimitable way remembering all the glorious sacrifices of the greatest souls of this nation.

                                    Ways are many…means are endless
                                    Reverberations ceaseless………
                                    Sacrifices countless……….

                                      Inter House DPS-Jockey Competition------2015

        DPS-Jockey…………Speaking Smartly to Meet Success
Speaking is an ART……… Oops! Who didn’t know!!!??? Anyone in the fraternity of readers of my blogs who wait with bated breath and ever agile anticipation of the next great dish of “mental food” which I keep serving platter after platter according to a la carte menu???????
Jockeying is of course speaking or if I may say, “blabbering” of a “zara hat ke” kind in which clarity of speech and innovation go hand in hand. The participants have to try their very best to be one up from their peers and compatriots and in this “Game of Showmanship and One-upmanship” in front of the live audience, this year all the 40 participants, 10 each from the four HOUSES had the grand Opportunity of being honed by the inimitable and witty Master Public Speaker, the CCA Chief Coordinator Mr. Pradip Banerjee/Penman himself.
The entire show was his brainchild and appropriately packaged by his clarity of vision and statements of delivery. Learner/competitor after competitor reached the podium as if in a state of studied trance and kept on entertaining and enthralling the JURY and the audience in the School Activity Room.
TEN extremely different and equally challenging topics were described in advance for the participants to choose from. From “Selling a New Detergent Powder” to “Inviting the City Students for a Dance Show” to “Challenging All to Learn English…the PENMAN Way”, the wide variety became the talk of the institution.
For the first time a “team of students” were in employment to bring to life all the ideas of the CCACC-Penman in making the posters, gate hangers and student passes.
The JURY comprised of The HM Ms. Mitu Dey, CCACC Mr. Pradip K.Banerjee & Mrs. Archana Dodhwar who had a tough time judging the best due to the grand gala performance of almost all.
Penman had inputted/allowed the use of props. and special getups by the participants to add spice, charm and galore to add to the Overall Showbiz Value of the EVENT.
Whatever is planned in advance and efforted well always Konkludes in Soulful Success.
I will be failing in my sacred duties to reflect my Love And Kare for all my students if I don’t mention the following names here whose unstinted support and hard labour Kreated All The Posters & Passes etc. Mind – Designed by me to add a dash of previously unheard of GLAMOUR in the presentation of DPS-Jockey………………….They Are……….
1.       Abhishek Thomas, 2. Yash Tahlani, 3. Shubham Paliwal, 4. Krishna Gattani & 5. Mohit Dhanuka……all of Std. 10-B.
