My Call
Perhaps you don’t want
To give me a little
Respite and so you
Don’t call – why do you
Think that a call
Is such a tall
Order despite my endless
Inspiration from the soul-end
Your heart doesn’t bend.
May I ask you a question
Pertinent….. what it is
That gives your soul
A particularly poetic
Scent? If I take this
Latch and effortise to
Catch your palpitations’
Bent…..would you mind
To attempt and rise
To answer me – I swear
I promise to be discreet
Till I meet the reason
Of your soulular worry
And devoid of any hurry
Get and gather my
 Own comprehension.
I weep in soundlessness
My eyes keep check
Lids stop the fluids
Flow is hit by the blow
Of virulent winds
Of change which
Seem to derange
All my heart beats’
Arrangement….
My soul in hell-bent
State of predicament
Ceases to glow
Feeling defeated….
At the hands of destiny….
All movements
Pause witnessing
The imminence of
A new clause……….
Of catastrophic. ……
Intervention…….
My jubilation…
Ceases at long last
My words’ deluge….
Flows, pleases the OMNIPRESENT
HE –the only iconoclast.
                            THE EDITORIAL
Soul Liquification
From the Pen of The Chief Editor
Penning for pleasure is a love of dimension diametric which is all soul-centric. Putting pen to paper for being a wrapper for/of loads of KREATIVE emotions spread all across the living, bubbling geography of minds and thoughts is again a different ball-game altogether.
Life of/in a school which is growing by leaps and bounds, marking time endlessly on one hand and on the other waiting, for all the appropriations to dawn on the firmament is so hectic but at the same time so challenging.
Learners and facilitators from different terra-firma meet and the intellectual conjugation brings the “melting pot” to a perfect time-bound boil.
Unbounded hardships and meticulous toil go into the process of inner soul-searching and outer galvanizing which bring about the finished product.
Our School Magazine “CELESTIA“ which is in your hands, is the 1st issue brought to the earth of DPS- Janjgir-Champa with lot of efforts and thoughts for all of you……..the learners, the contributors, the teachers, the soul-searchers, the mind-scorchers and readers at large.
Management, The Principal, all staff-members, the Editorial Board & the Chief Editor all have taken due pains burning the proverbial midnight oil to bring you this “bouquet of love and affection”.
Penning is a cosmic constancy which must move on with all accuracy in various different forms & formats. Writing regularly is akin to one’s fighting with the inner urge to pour and divulge some heavenly droplets of eagerness and emotions.
Hope this intellectual vehicle will be everyone’s favourite mind-machine and the most sought after soul-car.
Let me now put my pen to rest so that you can taste the best.
Happy Reading.

THE ELYSIUM……..2014………. DPS – ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

I was moving…trying to …desilt my own soul
All destinations seemingly…moving forward…
As if spirally upward…..and I heading downward….
Lo!...........and Behold!........
The red horizon…turning gold…
The Elysium-2014…..the mother of all Grand Gala School Annual Nights saw its sweet culmination and fitting finale on the wintry night of 27th Dec. amidst musical frenzy, frenetic foot-tapping, Superior Special Guests, all decked-up and descending parents, congregating…..graduating guardians…..avowed and awesome anchors, coached& tutored by none other than the maverick pen-weilder- Penman himself……opulently magnificent stage done in cauldron of colour by one of the youngest-ever ART aficionado Mr. Dash Vidyaratna, entire top Management in smooth, silky n supportive mood, the chill in the air just purrrfect as if in conspicuous conspiracy to provide heat to the already hot, burning n raring to go gaga over all the ethereally choreographed arty dance pieces by the chubby and affable Dance Director Mr. Mervin D’Souza from Goregaon, Mumbai, National Award Winner Mr. Subhash Yadav, the dance teacher of the school & all the mother teachers of the Nursery/Pre-primary Wing.
Chanting of VED Mantras ignited the most perfect passion in Welcoming of The Chief Guest Mr. S.K.Paswan- the Ex. DGP(CG) , The Guest of Honour Mr. O.P. Chaudhary, the Collector of Janjgir-Champa and the Special Guest Mr. Prashant Agrawal, the SP- Janjgir-Champa who descended on the horizon just in time. The Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by The Chief Guest followed by all the Special Guests on gorgeously bedecked stage was a sparkling delight for all accompanied by The Vedochcharan & Saraswati Vandana.
After the Welcome Song by The School Choir the Welcome Speech was delivered by Mr. Pradip Kr. Banerjee, CCA Coordinator in his power-packed inimitable style.
School Principal Honourable Mr. C.D.Pani’s Annual Report was an eclectic sprinkling of facts laced with beautiful knowledge-nuggets in which he elucidated all what is to be shared with all the stake holders of the school.
All the highly respectable Guests spoke on the occasion adding glitter and stardust and sharing their travails during their schooling amidst not only the tough terrains but also not so smooth/polished environs at times. They impressed upon the young learners of today to ably use and utilize all that they are getting from their parents, teachers and the system in the most befitting manner possible.
All the eminently respectable guests exhorted upon all the learners to struggle hard and reminded them that it is for them only that the school has chosen THE THEME of the Elysium-2014 as LAKSHYA. All of them were unanimous in saying that there is no short-cut to success and all have to ceaselessly strive hard for bettering their results for “life is a war…by far and every win is just a station and not the destination”. Their inspiring words were lapped up by one and all for all were single mindedly performing on stage keeping in mind their LAKSHYA.
All the teachers were highly immersed in following the instructions handed down in multiple meetings by the immensely affable and a godly guide, the respectable Principal of the school since last 10-12 days which served the mentally n spiritually sumptuous fare of glamour n glory, ideas n imagination, egalitarian eclectics n ecstatic multichromatic monumental magnanimity.
Palak Gattani & Abhishek Thomas under the affable n amiable guidance of their mentor Mr. Pradip Kr. Banerjee  fantabulously controlled the programme wise emceeing of about 24 pairs of anchors as Master Emcees.
The 1st item on the platter was the PRAYER DANCE and then after the gods of the skies were invoked there were dances galore by the tiny tots of Nursery to Std.1 whose fluid heavenly movements mesmerized all parents & guests…Rapturous applause hit the arena.
Classical to Contemporary to Semi-Classical to Local Chattishgarhi all mind-eye foods were there on stage for all to savour and soak in the delicacies.
There were funny fillers and intellectual skits in Hindi n English both keeping in mind all preferences n choices and also to send messages to one and all.
Classical Song was one of the fine highlights presented as a matter of aural delight by the deft training of Mr. Apurva Chatterjee who has just joined the Music Department of DPS-JC who is MA in Musicology from the renowned Music University of Khairagarh.
There were Sports Dance, Dance for the children of 2-3-4,Royal Dance, Kathputli Dance and what not……..
But the Evening-Killers were The Mahamrityunjay Dance, Robotic Dance, Zombis Dance and the hotteset one was the darkest…the most anticipated dance of the entire show….THE U V DANCE….the maniacal belongingness of Mr. Mervin to his ART is on delicate display on stage during the purrrrfect n flawless presentation by his mentees & tutees.
The whole lot of prize distribution, bouquet, memento, shawl & srifal presentation to all the dignitaries was all ably conducted by Mrs. Prachi Pandey during the course of her donning the mantle of the Elysium-2014 as the Formal Ceremony Anchor of the night.
Respected Principal Sir announced the opening of the 1st feeder Nursery  School at Champa town from the New Session of 2015-16 which was received by the Honourable Guests & Parents with great happiness and elation.
A special poetry penned by the Penman was read and dedicated for the Choreographer Mr. Mervin by him supported by the special love of the President Sir and cheered by all.

A very pleasant Sunday. Around the middle of February. The 15th instant. Circa-2015. In the heart of the town of Champa. Scintillating spring just knocking at the doors of all hearts waiting in anticipation. Souls bubbling with enthusiasm to witness the unfolding of the Event of the Day. The address: Didwania Complex at Modi Chowk. All decked up in flowers and finery. In preparation: the Team DPS-JC under the able guidance of the Management and The Principal. Balloons swelling in pride. Multi-colour rainbow on the entrance door as beautiful rangoli….Yummy smell of mouth watering delicacies wating to be served. Endless flow of chatter as parents and guests take their seats. Tiny tots waiting with bated breath for their turn of glory on stage. All the above and much more…….
Newspaper advts. and inserts, Cable TV propaganda and words of mouth have already spilled the bins…..what had been planned in the last three fortnights is now just properly packaged and ready to be executed. And staged and executed with such elan and design in the presence of Hon. Dr.C.D.Mahant, Ex. Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Food Processing who had so kindly consented to be the Chief Guest despite his ever so hectic schedule.
Small kids of DPS-JC enthralled one and all by their scintillating dance and skit performances anchored by the equally talented tiny tots of Std. 1&2 echoing the words of Penman as is usual.
Thanks to the fantabulous “team-spirit” of all teaching and non-teaching staff members that the glittering show of DPS-KIDS’ Inauguration concluded in the most apt manner amidst cheerful clappings of all parents, guests and children. The multi-colour brochure which is also the prospectus of the NEW educational venture was unveiled in the holy hands of the Chief Guest amidst the hype and hoopla of all cognoscenti as well as hoi-poloi which was lapped up by the local media to splash the colour pages of all the papers the next day…….
Beginning is a new way………
All endeavour to show their mettle…..
And also the stylish sway………
Here at DPS-JC…..DPS-KIDS, Champa…
Is just the initiation of a newer milestone. Hope penmania moves onnnnnnnn uninterrupted…..

Penning is a passion which provides ration to readers. Events give vents to minds to express in ways multifarious.  And the learners and their teachers industrious partake in the journey endless.
Newsletter is a forum which we intend to publish every quarter/twice a year which would encapsulate all that distance we have covered and the feathers we have added to the DPS-JC “Cap”. The Inaugural issue of RIPPLES ,I do hope would sure open new vistas of expression and encourage healthy conversation. “Pen is mightier than the sword” is an old adage and the readers would find ample examples of word- bonhomie page after page.
