Inter House Quiz Contest: 18.10.2014
The Annual IHQC was organized with great fanfare and zestful zeal amongst all the participants of all the four Houses in three categories: Sub-junior, Junior & Senior. The Quiz Master Mr. Pradip Kr. Banerjee has more than 15 years experience of conducting various Inter Club/School Quizzes. He had devised and designed multifarious formats for different levels of Quizzes in different places. Here in DPS-JC as the CCA Coordinator and presenter of the IHQC he had honed and trained Ms. Maria to conduct the Sub Junior level of the event in which Aakash, Agni, Prithvi & Vayu Houses bagged the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th positions respectively.
And then taking the mantle on stage came the immaculate and inimitable Quiz Master himself to fire his volley of questions in a very differently unique format for the other two categories: Junior and Senior. The Quiz Cards were designed alphabetically A to Z. All the Questions in each card were to begin with the letters a, b, c, d, etc. or if the questions didn’t have the said letter as the first letter then the answer of the said question was sure to begin with the letter on the Quiz Card. It was indeed very unique on one hand and challenging for all the participants on the other. The QM kept all on tenterhooks till the culmination of the entire show of intelligence and presence of mind.
In Junior Category Vayu, Agni, Prithvi & Aakash Houses grabbed the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th positions respectively. By winning the Senior Category Vayu House proved themselves the best Quizzards followed by Agni, Prithvi & Aakash Houses respectively for the remaining positions.
Overall this year’s IHQC was an eye-opener for all which turned the learners’ attention for more fire and action in the arena of QUIZZING in the times to come.

The 66th Republic Day Celebration…….26th January, 2015
Celebrations
make life worth living…….pleasure is just not in the ‘taking’ but giving,
sharing and caring. Respecting the motherland and the blood and toil put by the
noblest patriotic souls to make her free from the clutches of the gory
imperialistic powers is what a National Celebration calls for.
In
the year 1950, on this day of January we Indians got our Constitution and the
status of being known the world over as a Democratic Republic in our own right.
Since
that beautiful wintry dawn we have been making & meeting innumerable
deadlines to celebrate the celebration of a series of successes in a plethora
of multifarious fields…from agriculture to aviation, from DRDO to Mars Orbiter
Mission, sericulture to cooperative federations, banking & insurance sector
reforms to internationally benchmarked educational institutions, sports and
games to multiplexes and malls, poverty alleviation programmes to R.T.I. &
R.T.E., we are on a multilane super-expressway of ceaselessly continuous
progress pathway.
Having
said all that what depict true national
pride, let me now come down to the local flavour….the talk of the town-DPS-JC and our Celebrating the Republic Day with
marked pomp & show……grit & glamour….promises & polar-paradigms.
Like
each year this year also the Republic Day programme started with unfurling the
Tricolour in the hands of the Honourable President Shri Raj Kishore Dewangan
followed by the National Anthem and March Past by the students. Then there was
the turn of the patriotic flavour and fervour in the form a song “jawano baas
yehi din hai, laga do aag pani mein” by the school choir. “Hum hain India wale”
is the lilting song on which a scintillating dance performance was presented to
pump zeal in all.
Two
young turks, Priyanshu of std.5 & Nandini of std.8 presented the speeches
in Eng. & Hin. respectively expressing all the superb training that has
gone into making them.
Honourable
Principal Mr. C.D. Pani in his meticulously well-worded speech exhorted upon
all to remember the duties of the citizens enshrined in the Constitution before
thinking about the rights.
Respected
President of Delhi Public School, Janjgir-Champa, Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan
impressed upon the young learners to do their holy task of studying honestly
and diligently. As usual he was visible in a conversational mood to show his
love and care.
The
day concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sayanee Franks.
Hope is the best antidote and we here at DPS-JC always
move on the paths of hope to usher in a new era of REPUBLICANISM in public life
of Learning……..for teaching is ceaseless learning……..

souls of learners, we here at Delhi Public School-Janjgir-Champa have got
together with the world reputed Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. to bring in an
“intellectual affair” in the form of a 3 day BOOK FAIR in the school premises
beginning on the 5th Feb.
at 10:00 AM to continue till 7th Feb. for the discerning
minds of Learners, Teachers & Parents.
A
grand gala collection of History, Culture, Science, Sports, Entertainment,
Religion, Technology, Poetry, Fiction & Non-fiction, Mystery and many other
genres would be there for browsing as well as owning.
Parents
could witness the event on all 3 days(5th to 7th Feb.)
and get the benefit of gathering an enviable collection.
Some
on the spot competitions were also organized by the Book Fair authorities to
involve and encourage the students.
Dance
and drama are part and parcel of human existence from time immemorial. All
actions, reactions and interactions on different intellectual plains can absorb
a lot from the nuances of dances and dramatics. These fine art forms spread
fluidism in all aspects of meaningfulness that human life is.
With
the advent of spring life comes full circle and so various stages and
opportunities surface for performance. Between the above two dates there was a
scintillating folk dance presentation by Ms. Chandrahasini Chandra of Std. 9-B
of our school in the “15th Ang Natya Yagya-2015” at Bariyarpur in
Bihar. She got the coveted 2nd Position and our Dance Teacher
National Award Winner Shree Subhash Chandra Yadav bagged the 3rd
position in Direction and he was awarded The Rashtriya Aang Award-2015.
Teams
from around 10 states participated in the 3-day long competition. On this
achievement of the student and the dance teacher the President, the Principal
and the entire DPS-JC family expressed their happiness and joy.
May in the days to come more such
laurels are added to the bright firmament of the school family.
There can never be any other just like the mother. Mother is
the fountain of all eternal joy. Mother is the creator, the nurturer and the
natural caretaker of all human glory and gainsaying who provides for all the
endlessnesses of eternal future.
Her blood is life, her care can erase all strife and her
language and voice is the “MATRIBHASHA” which can ignite the dormant passion in
all across all latitudes and longitudes all over the globe.
Our pride, our nation, our motherland India is a melting pot
of so many hundreds of languages…….a very perfect example of Unity in
Diversity.
All languages have their inherent sweetness for the native
speakers and all those who get to listen to their mother tongue. It is but very
natural for a country as diametrically different as India to have one or more
National/Official language(s).But all the other big linguistic groups or even
the linguistic minorities nourish and nurture their various different
aspirations and seek the support of the Union and state govts. for their growth
and development.
Keeping all this and more in mind the govt. of India and all
the other stake holders of this biggest democracy of the world celebrates the
21st Feb. as Rashtriya Matribhasha Diwas every year.
Under the aegis of Union HRD ministry CBSE does this great
job of awakening or rather re-awakening the Young and the most
Impressionable minds and souls…….the students of School India.
Like every year this year also we here at DPS-JC, have
conducted a very special assembly on Sat.(21.02.2015) to take part in the
national bandwagon.
Many students partook in recitation, speech and song
presentation in their respective mother tongues such as; Bengali, Oriya,
Marathi, Telugu, Malyalam, Sindhi, Marwari, Punjabi, Chattisgarhi etc. creating
a very heartwarming mélange of unique linguistic tapestry.
The CCA Coordinator Mr. Pradip K. Banerjee anchored and
managed the entire bonhomie of multiple languages very aptly in his inimitable
fashion interspersing with fantastic sprinkling of poetry in superb Bangla, his
beloved mother tongue. He ignited the frenzy and passion in other teachers also
to use their vocal chords in their mother tongues.
Overall the kick starting of the process of the Rashtriya
Matribhasha Diwas was a very successful one indeed. The Penman opines thus, to
conclude the blogging deliberation:
All
language(s) have edge…….unlearning of ego is the most important stand point to
initiate learning of any other language, for the learning is endless………earning
through the plethora of the languages of the world is “Pacific” in both
proportion and manifestation.
All the above penning Deliberations have been pen-painted by the PENMAN........the blogger Pradip Banerjee of this blog who is into penning a vast array of write-ups.....Thoughts & POETRY. And also in Hindi and Bengali.......his loving native tongue.....
His another blog is: pradippens.blogspot.com......
Happy reading,
In Penmania,
Pradip Kr. Banerjee
